Matt and Marilyn Stevens have been committed to connecting couples for over eleven years.  ConnectEdPAIRS offers a range of services including educational and practical communication skills at half-day workshops and weekend retreats to one-on-one counseling and coaching for couples needing more personal attention.  The program is designed to give couples the skills they need early for a long, healthy and satisfying relationship.  In today’s faced paced society, it’s easy to get off track, but ConnectEdPAIRS can help keep you and your loved one on the path to a successful and happy relationship!  On average, couples talk about fourteen minutes a day.  Hard to believe,, but when life gets in the way, sometimes we put our relationship last.  ConnectEdPAIRS isn’t based on long, intense hours of therapy and theory, but the workshops and retreats are goal oriented offering user-friendly, concise “tools” designed to make the most impact in the shortest amount of time.  You’re going to leave with a skill you can implement immediately.  You’ll have a “tool” for the right occasion that you can pull out when you need it!  If it’s not broke, don’t fix it; but if you start to hear a little clanking or clunking, repair it quickly with the right tool from  ConnectEdPAIRS.

 

 

Matt & Marilyn Stevens recently celebrated their 29^th wedding anniversary and have two sons age 24 & 27. They completed the PAIRS Certification Process in 1999, and have been facilitating workshops and retreats since that time.  They also provide individualized marriage and relationship coaching.  Both Matt and Marilyn are committed to providing practical skills to couples and promoting richer relationship.

 

Matt Stevens  M.S., M.Div.

Matt is a former pastor of 15 years.  He has also worked as an Experiential Educator, and is currently employed in the IT department at Caterpillar, Inc, in Decatur, IL.  Matt is committed to helping couples stay connected.  He assists with individual couples coaching, workshops and retreats; creating a male friendly environment for men who are initially uncomfortable with workshop or retreat settings.

 

Marilyn Stevens  MSW, LCSW
Marilyn has provided therapy for children, individuals, couples and families for over thirty years.  She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, a facilitator for PAIRS Foundation, and a Seminar Director for Prepare Enrich.  She is currently interested in early intervention for marriages, and skills building to maintain healthy marriages and relationships.
